WHAT IS A FISCAL SPONSORSHIP?
A Fiscal Sponsorship is a program with a nonprofit organization that provides fiduciary oversight, financial management, and other administrative services to help build the capacity of charitable projects. Additionally, Fiscal Sponsorships enable international charitable organizations to fundraise in the US through a collaborative relationship with a public charity, such as Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
HOW DOES IT WORK?
As the fiscal sponsor, Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund serves as the administrative “home” of a charitable project that is not operated through its own 501(c)(3) organization. Charitable donations are contributed to Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund as the fiscal sponsor, which then funds the sponsored project.
